A good index allows the content of a book to become accessible.
A quality index is designed with the reader in mind,
with careful choice of concepts and sub-headings.

My passion for words includes building indexes, specialising in family histories.
(The challenge of all those people of the same surname is its own reward.)

Indexes I have created include those for the following publications:
-
The legacy of John Headlam of Egleston, Macquarie River, Tasmania (2016)
-
Camden Soldiers of King and Queen 1788-1913 (2020)
-
From convicts to computers: 200 years of the Tasmanian Supreme Court (2023)
-
Mary Morton Allport: A life reflected through art (2025)
