ABOUT ME

As is often the case in rural communities, I wear many hats.
​
A farmer, an accredited editor, professional indexer and published author of poetry, fiction, magazine articles and award-winning family history, I believe in lifelong learning. Accredited with the Institute of Professional Editors in 2014, I became reaccredited in 2019 and 2024.
​
As a member of TasWriters, the Fellowship of Australian Writers Tasmania, Editors Tasmania, and the Australian and New Zealand Society of Indexers, I am never far from matters of literature, even while working in the shearing shed.
​
I also have a regular column (The Food Page) in our small local newspaper the Southern Midlands Regional News.
